Agro-Biodiversity
Media Project ü Background:
The main goal of this project is to develop the Agriculture Sector within Palestine through the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) and the UNDP/PAPP. The major component of this program is the production of documentary films that will help the local communities to manage their resources efficiently as well as to raise the public awareness in certain domains. Based on the above, Palestine Wildlife Society is to prepare 4 documentary films and 10 TV episodes, funded by the government of Japan, Spain, and the Global Environmental Facility. The films will tackle rangelands development/management and land development and rehabilitation of agriculture areas in the West bank, water harvesting/food security project as well as an education film on Brucellosis control program. These media productions would cover and describe the historical, economic, social, political and technical aspects of the various sub-sectors of the agriculture sector. In addition, these productions would concentrate on the human aspects and the needs and requirements of the various sub-sectors. ü
Scope of Work:
The duration of each film would 12-15 minutes.
PWLS is to carryout and produce 10 episodes on various ago-biodiversity issues, where each contains field reports, field interviews, and interviews inside and outside the studio (transmission room). The transmission of the episodes would be made on three local TV station in the West Bank namely, Bethlehem, Hebron and Jenin.
PWLS is to produce three different posters on land development, food security, and rangelands management. Along side with that, PWLS would produce 2 brochures on range management and land development. 2000 copies would be produced from each poster and brochure.
PWLS would advertise in the local newspapers about the transmission of the episodes based on the title of each one. Duration of this project is 10 months starting from the first of march
till the end of November. |
