Nature Multimedia Center

 

I- Background:

Awareness and Involvement of students and public in nature conservation depends on a far limit upon self-understanding of the dependent interrelation between man and his environment.

This principle could be achieved through many ways, the most important one is to implement by filming and other multimedia the educational concepts and also providing a resource for researchers as well as individuals.

Such media will be used in schools on a wide scale, in written media and will be transmitted in local and official T.V Stations.

Palestine Wildlife Society is in the process of establishing a Production unit mainly for educational and documentation purposes as a first step towards the establishment of the Nature Multi Media Center.

      The establishment of the Nature Multi Media Center idea developed from the urgent need of documenting the Palestinian Wildlife in Photos, Sounds and Video, and providing a reliable and organized resource multimedia for both Educational and Scientific use. Palestinian Environment is very unique and rich on a global level, yet no such resources are available. Palestine Wildlife Society has documented thousands of photos and video materials, which need to be organized and used for the benefit of Students, Teachers, Scientists and Public.

The qualified staff will be appointed by Palestine Wildlife Society, including T.V Production specialist, Educational multimedia specialist and Internet specialist.

    Some of the equipment was donated by Euronature –Germany, which helped us lots in our past work, now we are working for more professional work in the future.

  This equipment will help the Palestine Wildlife Society in achieving more the sustainability through the Nature Multi Media Production income.

II- Objectives:

1-      Produce documentary and educational films depending on the Nature Conservation concept.

2-       Production of interactive materials such as CD-Rom, which has proved very essential in education specially when it includes pictures, sounds and video.

3-      Establishing an Internet Website to provide the resources online and to be used as an educational online interaction.

III- Target Group:

    Students, Public and Researchers.  

IV- Duration:

            Two years.
