PWLS Sections
a)
Nature Multi Media Division: This division is specialized in preparing and producing environmental and awareness means and tools such as Video Films, informational CD, TV Episodes and Documentaries and other Media production means, which cover issues concerning the environment, conservation, biodiversity and protection. b) Marketing: This division is specialized in the covering the process of finding funding agencies that help in covering the proposals that PWLS produce, and are directed to the objectives of it. It also keeps tracing the progress of each project, to ensure the implementation according to the criteria of each project. 2. Education: This section is delegated to enhance and spread the environmental education and awareness among the local communities all over the Palestinian Territories. It uses different methods, and apply different programs to achieve this purpose such as Eco-Schools, Student Environmental Mail, and other Environmental publication (posters, informational sheets…etc) that help in the educational process. 3. Research: This Section is delegated to the work that has to do with conducting Monitoring and Survey activities to Wildlife and Nature. Giving a complete study on endangered species and list it in a scientific way, migration roots, biodiversity, and monitoring the environmental phenomenon in the areas.

Information Systems: Advantages
of adopting GIS: 1-
Large quantities of data can be maintained and retrieved at greater speeds and lower cost per unit
when computer –based systems are used. 2-
The ability to manipulate the spatial data and corresponding attribute information and to integrate
different types of data in a single analysis and at high speed are unmatched by a manual methods. 3-
The ability to perform complex spatial analyses rapidly provides a quantitative as well as a
qualitative advantage. It is a function that cannot be done effectively with manual methods or with
computer-aided design and drafting systems. Theses spatial analyses capabilities of a GIS together enable geo-referenced information to be created and used in a completely different context than before. |
